Steps to reproduce:
- Use a monitor resolution above approximately 1920x1080
- Open Unity Hub
- Go to the Projects tab
- Click "+ New Project"
- Choose 6.4 or 6.5 editor versions (so that the Industry Template is available and supported)
- Go to the "New" templates tab
- Maximize the Hub (on some resolutions reproduces without this step)
- Observe the Hub
Actual results: Industry Fundamentals template takes up the whole "New" tab and a scrollbar appears when all the content could fit either way
Expected results: Template cards should keep a reasonable size and balanced layout on larger resolutions, without expanding excessively to fill the available space
Reproducible with versions: 3.16.4, 3.17.1
Tested on (OS): macOS 26.3
Notes:
- This is not limited to a single template and can be reproduced with other templates when filtering or searching down to one result. e.g. Typing "MR" in "Core" tab search - in that case lower resolution preview images look especially poor when scaled up
- The main issue is the unnecessary overflow/scrollbar, which makes the layout feel incorrectly sized
