For such use case, secondary texture feature should be used.
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached user “SpriteRenderer2.zip“ project
2. Open the “SampleScene“ Scene
3. Enter Play Mode
4. Observe the “LeftPortrait“ GameObject in the Game view
Expected result: The “LeftPortrait“ GameObject stays the same
Actual result: The texture on the “LeftPortrait“ GameObject zooms in
