Hierarchy v2: range selection not working properly

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a scene with multiple nodes in hierarchy
2. Use shift + click to range select
3. keep pressing shift and Click on the middle node of the selected nodes

Actual results: selection doesn't change

Expected results: selection should reduce to first selected node and the latest selected node

Reproducible with versions: 6000.6

Not reproducible with versions:
