Shadowmap generation is inherently expensive, so the default is not to use shadows for lights when they are created.
How to reproduce: 1. Open any project 2. Right-click in Hierarchy > Light > Point Light 3. Observe shadows
Expected result: Hard shadows setting is selected Actual result: No shadows setting is selected
