Decal doesn't update when changing the texture from a script

Reproduction steps:
1. Open the user’s attached project
2. Open the “Assets/OutdoorsScene” scene
3. Enter Play mode

Expected result: The projected decal looks similar to an image on the left
Actual result: The projected decal looks like an image on the right

Reproducible with: 10.10.0 (2020.3.40f1), 12.1.7 (2021.3.11f1), 13.1.8 (2022.1.19f1), 14.0.3 (2022.2.0b9), 15.0.1 (2023.1.0a13)

Reproducible on: macOS 12.6

Notes:

• This issue reproduces about 90% of the time, so if it doesn’t reproduce, close and reopen the project
• The decal gets updated when changing any of the decal’s material properties
