Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new URP project.
- Assets > Create > UI Toolkit > UI Document, open this in UI Builder.
- Add a Label to Hierarchy.
- Double click on the Label text in the Viewport to activate the text field, and start typing.
- Press Ctrl+Z while typing. You can continue to type.
- Try to deselect the text field by selecting another element.
Actual results: The text field remains active. If you select the Label in the Hierarchy, the Attributes Text still holds what the text was before you started editing it. You can only deactivate this field by activating another one, or re-opening UI Builder.
Expected results: The text field doesn't get stuck in an activated state.
I don't know what the Ctrl+Z behaviour should be though - perhaps it should undo what was typed in the field? This is what I was trying to do when I hit Ctrl+Z.
Reproducible with versions: 6000.1.0a4, 6000.0.28f1, 2022.3.52f1, 2022.3.8f1
Not reproducible on:
- 2022.3.7f1 - but behaviour is also a bit unexpected - the field will deactivate, and it will look like text hasn't updated until you press Ctrl+S.
Can't test with versions: 2021.3, not available on OS.
Tested on (OS): Ubuntu 24.04
