Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new project using Universal 3D template
- Import the attached "arrow.svg" into Project window
- Select the imported SVG asset
- In the Inspector, change the "Generated Asset Type" to "Texture2D"
- Click "Apply"
- Observe the "Arrow.svg" asset preview in the Project window
Actual results: The asset preview in the Project window is fully black, making the shape completely indistinguishable
Expected results: The preview displays the black arrow shape clearly against a transparent or Editor-standard checkerboard background, matching how it appears in the Inspector preview
Reproducible with versions: 6000.3.12f1, 6000.4.1f1, 6000.5.0b1, 6000.6.0a1
Can’t test with versions: 6000.0.71f1 (SVG import does not work)
Tested on (OS): macOS 26.3 (M1)
Notes:
- This creates a very poor UX as all black SVG icons will appear as identical solid black squares in the Project window, making it impossible to tell them apart at a glance
