How to reproduce:
1. Open the user attached project
2. Enter Play Mode
3. Type in some English letters
4. Select the English letters
5. Change the keyboard language to Chinese
6. Type in some Chinese letters and press ESC

Expected results: the input display field updates after pressing ESC and the letters disappear
Actual results: the English letters are not updated in the input display field after pressing ESC

Reproducible with: 2019.4.34f1, 2020.3.26f1, 2021.1.28f1, 2021.2.8f1, 2022.1.0b4, 2022.2.0a2
