How to reproduce:
1. Open the user-attached project “hdrp_dxr_slowdown_bugreport”
2. Open the “OutdoorsScene” scene
3. Enter the Play Mode
4. Select the “Ray Tracing Volume” GameObject in the Hierarchy
5. Turn the “Path Tracing” field on and then off in the Inspector
6. Observe the framerate in the Profiler
Expected result: After turning the “Path Tracing” off, the FPS is the same as it was before turning it on
Actual result: After turning the “Path Tracing” off, the FPS gets much lower (for example, from 60 FPS to 30 FPS) than it was before turning it on
Reproducible with: 2022.2.16f1, 2023.1.0a26, 2023.1.0b13
Not reproducible with: 2023.2.0a13
Fixed in: 2023.2.0a1
Couldn’t test with: 2020.3.47f1, 2021.3.23f1 (Ray Tracing not working properly)
Reproducible on: Windows 11 Pro and Nvidia RTX 3050Ti
Note: Sometimes you need to turn the “Path Tracing” off and on a couple of times to get it reproduced but most of the time it is reproduced after the first time
