Recent search window can't be closed

Steps to reproduce:

1. cmd/k to open search window

2. Type "Object" as a partial string for search and then tab

3.  A window pops out with recent research strings and suggestions 

4.  Click on anywhere of the search window

Actual results: 

The recent search window doesn't close.

Expected results: 

The recent search window should close.
Reproducible with versions:  trunk
