A character, symbol, or number is assigned to an empty char field when entering Play Mode

How to reproduce:
1. Open the user’s attached “My project.zip” project
2. Add the “chartest” script to any GameObject
3. Enter Play Mode
4. Observe the “Test” field in the “Chartest” component

Expected result: “Test” field is empty
Actual result: “Test” field has a character, symbol, or a number

Reproducible with: 2022.2.0a9, 2022.2.21f1, 2022.3.4f1, 2023.1.2f1, 2023.2.0a21
Not reproducible with: 2021.3.27f1, 2022.2.0a8
