There are no fixes planned for this Bug
Thank you for reporting a bug to Unity. This happens when we assign a 2D texture to a cubemap sampler. It causes a crash only on the Mali G-72 device and other devices just ignore the issue. As it is just a single device which is causing the problem, we are unable to prioritize fixing this bug. There are a number of reasons we make this decision, including the impact and severity of the issue across our user and customer base, and the possibility that future plans may solve the problem in a different way. Our ISS customers’ bug reports have a higher weight than normal, and this is accounted for in the decision. We hope to be able to work with you on finding a suitable workaround in the short term. Today, however, we will be closing this case. Thank you again for taking the time to report this issue, and please let us know if there is anything else that changes the impact or severity of this issue.
Cancelling this 2023.2 tech release issue since the support for this release has come to end of life. Cancelling this 2023.2 port case does not affect any LTS or Unity 6 Beta/Preview that remain open.

Canceling ports as 2020.3 has reached its end-of-support lifetime, and is no longer accepting fixes.

2. Build and Run on an Android device
Expected result: Player runs without issues
Actual result: Screen flashing with black artifacts, minimising the app and bringing it back gets it stuck on a black screen
