"InvalidOperationException" and additional errors throw in the Console window when using a custom Composite

How to reproduce:
1. Open the “Input System Test“ project
2. Open the “SampleScene“
3. Enter the Play Mode

Expected result: No errors are thrown in the Console window
Actual result: Several errors are thrown in the Console window

Reproducible with: 1.8.2, 1.8.1, 1.8.0 (2022.3.0f1, 2022.3.34f1, 6000.0.7f1)
Not reproducible with: 1.8.2, 1.8.1, 1.8.0 (2021.3.39f1, 2022.2.21f1), 1.8.0-pre.2, 1.8.0-pre.1, 1.7.0 (2021.3.39f1, 2022.3.34f1)

Reproducible on: macOS 14.5 (Intel), Windows 10 (User’s)
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
