Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “Sprite Mask” project
2. Open “Assets/Scenes/SampleScene.unity“ scene
3. Select Square GameObject in the Hierarchy window
4. In the Inspector window, Sprite Renderer component, change Mask Interaction from “None” to “Visible Inside Mask”
5. Observe the Game view
Expected result: Red Square GameObject is visible inside of the white Capsule GameObject
Actual result: Red Square GameObject is not visible
Reproducible with: 2023.1.0a11, 2023.1.0b9, 2023.2.0a7
Not reproducible with: 2023.1.0a10
Couldn't test with: 2020.3.46f1, 2021.3.21f1, 2022.2.12f1 (on these versions “Sprite Mask” component doesn’t have the “Mask Source” setting to select “Supported Renderers”)
