Material Variant creation window gets stretched out when canceling

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new project
2. Create a Cube in the Hierarchy window
3. Create a material in Project window
4. Apply the material to the cube
5. Select the cube in the Hiearchy window
6. In Inspector window on Material component press "Open Material Hierarchy Popup" button (right button)
7. In the new popup window press on Material dropdown
8. Select Material Variant
9. Press 'x' icon

Actual results: the window gets streached for a second

Expected results: no sctretching artifacts

Reproducible with versions: 
2022.3.65f1, 6000.0.55f1, 6000.1.15f1, 6000.2.0f1, 6000.3.0a4

Tested on (OS): 
Macbook M1 MacOS Sequoia 15.5
Macbook Intel i9-9980HK MacOS Sequoia 15.5

Notes:

• This issue is more obvious on slow machines.
• Testing on 6000.0.55f1 gives more consistent issue reproduction
