GameObject icon disappears when selecting the GameObject

How to reproduce:
1. Open the user-attached project “test2020”
2. Open the “SampleScene” scene
3. Select “GameObject” GameObject in the Hierarchy
4. Observe the Scene View

Expected result: The blue icon of GameObject is visible
Actual result: The blue icon of GameObject is invisible

Reproducible with: 2020.3.38f1, 2020.3.41f1
Not reproducible with: 2020.3.37f1, 2021.3.12f1, 2022.1.20f1, 2022.2.0b12, 2023.1.0a15

Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro

Workaround: Reloading the scene makes the icon appear again
