Cancelling this 2023.2 tech release issue since the support for this release has come to end of life. Cancelling this 2023.2 port case does not affect any LTS or Unity 6 Beta/Preview that remain open.
How to reproduce:
1. Open the “HingeJointBugReport“ project
2. Open the “SampleScene“
3. Open the “Cube“ GameObject in the Inspector
4. In the Hinge Joint Component under Limit set Max to 45 degrees
5. Enter the Play mode
6. In the Hinge Joint Component toggle on the Use Motor property
7. Observe the Scene view
8. While still in Play mode toggle the Use Motor property off and on again
9. Observe the Scene view
Expected result: The “Cube“ GameObject rotates 45 degrees when the Use Motor property is toggled on, and returns to the original position when it is toggled off
Actual result: The “Cube“ GameObject rotates 45 degrees when the Use Motor property is toggled on and does not return to the original position when it is toggled off
