Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new Unity project using the Universal 3D template
- Create a new Tree GameObject (3D Object > Tree)
- Select the newly created Tree GameObject in the Hierarchy
- Click the "Show/Hide Group" on the Branch Group in the Inspector
- Observe the Console window
Actual results: “AssertionException” error and memory leak warnings are thrown when toggling Show Branch Group on a Tree
Expected results: No errors or memory leak when toggling the "Show/Hide Group"
Reproducible with versions: 6000.5.0a5, 6000.5.0b10, 6000.6.0a5
Not reproducible with versions: 6000.0.76f1, 6000.3.16f1, 6000.4.9f1
Can’t test with versions: 6000.5.0a1, 6000.5.0a4 (due to unrelated compilation errors)
Tested on (OS): MacOS Silicon Tahoe 26.3
