Button click isn't registered when building for WebGL platform

Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project “ButExample2”
2. Build And Run the project using the WebGL platform
3. Click the “Button” button

Expected result: Button is pressed and the button's text changes to “Click”
Actual result: Button is not pressed

Reproducible with: 2022.2.0b16, 2023.1.0a5
Not reproducible with: 2020.3.42f1, 2021.3.13f1, 2022.1.22f1, 2023.1.0a6, 2023.1.0a19

Reproducible on: macOS Catalina 10.15.7 (Intel)
