StackOverflowException freezes or silently crashes the Editor

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the attached project
2. Open the MainMenu Scene
3. Enter Play mode
4. In the In-Game UI, press the 'Refresh Sessions' button

Actual results: Editor freezes and/or silently crashes without any thrown errors or Unity Bug reporter opening

Expected results: An exception is thrown or Editor crash triggers the Unity Crash reporter

Reproducible with versions: 6000.0.50f1, 6000.1.5f1, 6000.2.0b3

Can’t test with versions: 2022.3.62f1 (Project would not downgrade)

Tested on (OS): Windows 11, macOS 15.5

Notes:

• Crash occurs instantly and is reproducible consistently on macOS.
• On Windows 11, the Editor freezes instead of crashing immediately. Ending the Editor process manually kills the Editor process, however, this also prevents the Unity bug reporter from opening
