We acknowledge the issue happening in Physics Shape collider when a Geometry has a 32-bit Index Format and contains more than 16-bits number of vertices. Physics Shape is only a custom sample component. We no longer support it as part of the unity physics custom components.
Instead, use legacy physics components, e.g. Mesh Collider, Box Collider, Rigidbody, etc. After testing Mesh Collider against a geometry that has a 32-bit Index Format and contains more than 16-bits number of vertices correclty works we will proceed with closing this bug report.
