Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the repro-project in a 6000.0.75f1 Unity editor.
2. Make sure to switch to Linux build profile.
3. Download and install the Steam Devkit Management Tool through Steam.
4. Build the project and use the Devkit Management Tool to install it on the Steam Dock.
5. Ensure that touch functionality is enabled in the controller settings:
A. Press Steam button while game is playing and open "Controller settings".
B. Presss B if you see a "Non-Verified Games" layout selection.
C. Press Edit Layout and in the bottom left go to Action Sets.
D. Press the cog next to the Default action set and add a Always-On Command.
E. Press the Add command button next to the new line for the Always On Command.
F. Go to the System tab and select Touchscreen Native Support.
G. Press B until you're back in the game.
6. Try to double-tap the screen and note that it's impossible to get the double tap completion log statement. Also note that the logged startTime value is always negative and usually between -1 and -2.
Actual results: "Double tap performed" event is not logged
Expected results: "Double tap performed" event is logged
