Editor closes with exit code 137 when running batchmode using an x64 GitHub actions runner

How to reproduce:

1. Download and extract the attached “IN-148611” project
2. Create a GitHub repository containing the attached “IN-148611-workflow” files
3. Open the created GitHub repository in a browser
4. In GitHub, navigate to “Settings → Actions → Runners”
5. Select “New self-hosted runner”
6. Ensure that “x64” is selected as the architecture
7. Follow the provided steps until the run step
8. Run the runner as a service by entering “./svc.sh install && ./svc.sh start” in the terminal
9. Enable Burst JIT by entering “defaults write com.unity3d.UnityEditor5.x BurstCompilation -int 1” in the terminal
10. In GitHub, navigate to “Actions → Validate”
11. Select “Run workflow” and provide the location of the downloaded project and the Editor’s location on the system
12. Observe the workflow status

Actual result: Workflow fails with exit code 137
Expected result: Workflow completes successfully

Reproducible with: 6000.0.81f1, 6000.3.21f1
Could not test with: 6000.0.0f1, 6000.5.7f1, 6000.6.0b7, 6000.7.0a4 (Script compilation errors)

Reproducible on: macOS 26.5.2 (M4 Max)
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested

Notes:

• Running “killall cfprefsd” in the terminal might be needed if Unity was opened before step 9
• Clearing the library is needed after opening the project manually
• “x64” architecture is selected by default when setting up a self-hosted GitHub runner
• Workflow finishes successfully when using an ARM64 GitHub runner
