How to reproduce:
- Create and open a new project
- In the Project window, create and open a new Scene
- In the Hierarchy, add any GameObject
- Ensure that the changes made are not saved
- Enter Play Mode
- Press “CMD + Q” or select “Unity → Quit” in the menu bar
- When the “Scene(s) Have Been Modified” window pops up, press “CMD + Q” twice
- Observe the crash
Reproducible with: 6000.0.17f1, 6000.0.81f1, 6000.3.22f1, 6000.5.8f1, 6000.6.0b8, 6000.7.0a5
Could not test with: 6000.0.0f1 ([Internal link])
Reproducible on: macOS 26.5.2 (M4 Max)
Not reproducible on: Windows 11, No other environments tested
Notes:
- While not in Play Mode, the “Scene(s) Have Been Modified” window cannot be closed with “CMD + Q”
- On Windows, pressing ‘Alt + F4’ exits cancels the “Scene(s) Have Been Modified” window instead of crashing the Editor
