3 “Assertion failed” errors are thrown when the Branch Explorer window is opened

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new Unity project using the 
2. Open the Unity Version Control window  "Window > Version Control > Unity Version Control"
3. Create a new workspace
4. Click the "Branch Explorer" button to open the Branch Explorer window
5. Observe the Console window

Actual results: "Assertion failed" errors are thrown

Expected results: No errors are thrown

Reproducible with versions: 2.12.4 (6000.6.0b3), 2.13.6 (6000.6.0b9, 6000.7.0a5)

Not reproducible with versions: 2.12.4 (6000.3.22f1), 2.13.6 (6000.0.82f1, 6000.5.9f1, 6000.6.0b2) 

Tested on (OS): MacOS Silicon Tahoe 26.5.1, Windows 11
