How to reproduce:
- Open the attached “IN-150725” project
- Create a new Scene (Ctrl + N) > select “Empty Scene” > click “Create”
- Open the save dialog (Ctrl + S)
- Place mouse cursor in the Editor window and don’t move it
- In the save dialog window, type a Scene name until the mouse cursor disappears from the screen
- Save the Scene
- Observe the mouse cursor in the Editor window
Actual result: The mouse cursor stays hidden over the Editor window after the Scene is saved
Expected result: The mouse cursor becomes visible again once the save dialog closes
Reproducible with: 6000.0.1f1, 6000.0.81f1, 6000.3.22f1, 6000.5.8f1, 6000.6.0b8, 6000.7.0a4
Reproducible on: Windows 11 Enterprise (25H2)
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Workaround: Move the mouse cursor outside the Unity Editor window
Notes:
- Requires an Editor layout with all panels and toolbar elements hidden
- The mouse cursor also could be placed over the save dialog window, as long as it’s not over a file or a button
- Also reproduces with Windows' "Hide pointer while typing" disabled (Win + R > type “main.cpl” and click “OK” > in opened “Mouse Properties” window select “Pointer Options” > disable "Hide pointer while typing"), so it is not the OS feature
