How to reproduce:
- Open Unity Hub
- Observe the system tray
Actual result: The Unity Hub tray icon is missing (GNOME), or is displayed broken and is not interactable (Cinnamon, by user)
Expected result: Unity Hub has a working tray icon, like other applications (for example, Slack or OBS)
Reproducible with: 3.21.0
Reproducible on: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (GNOME), Linux Mint 22.3 (Cinnamon) (by user)
Not reproducible on: Windows 10 Pro
Notes:
- According to the user, the issue appeared after updating to Unity Hub 3.21.0 - the previous Hub version displayed a working tray icon
- Because the tray icon is not functional, Unity Hub cannot be reopened or quit from the tray after its window is closed - the user had to relaunch it from the applications menu and close it by killing the process
