Thank you for reporting a bug to Unity. We have reviewed the issue carefully, and in this case, the team is unable to prioritize fixing this bug. There are a number of reasons we make this decision, including the impact and severity of the issue across our user and customer base, and the possibility that future plans may solve the problem in a different way, or that a workaround for the bug may be available. Today we will be closing this case. Thank you again for taking the time to report this issue, and please let us know if there is anything else that changes the impact or severity of this issue.
Steps to reproduce:
Actual results: The save dialog offers Localization Addressable Group Rules.asset as the filename, and accepting it writes Assets/Localization Addressable Group Rules.asset.asset - the extension twice. The Inspector header carries it too: "Localization Addressable Group Rules.asset (Addressable Group Rules)". The sibling "Localization Settings" item pre-fills its name without an extension and produces a single one
Expected results: The dialog pre-fills the name without an extension, and the asset is written with one - matching the "Localization Settings" menu item
Reproducible with versions: 1.5.12 (6000.5.7f1, 6000.6.0f1, 6000.7.0a6)
Tested on (OS): MacBook Pro - Tahoe 26.6.2
