Thank you for reporting a bug to Unity. We have reviewed the issue carefully, and in this case, the team is unable to prioritize fixing this bug. There are a number of reasons we make this decision, including the impact and severity of the issue across our user and customer base, and the possibility that future plans may solve the problem in a different way, or that a workaround for the bug may be available. Today we will be closing this case. Thank you again for taking the time to report this issue, and please let us know if there is anything else that changes the impact or severity of this issue.
Steps to reproduce:
Actual results: The removed locale is back in "Available Locales". Any reimport of the Locale asset re-registers it, so the removal survives only until the next import of that file. The removal is not persisted anywhere, and there is no way to keep a Locale asset in the project while leaving it out of the active settings
Expected results: The removal persists. Either the "−" button also removes the asset, or the removal is recorded so that reimporting the asset does not re-register it
Reproducible with versions: 1.5.12 (6000.5.7f1, 6000.6.0f1, 6000.7.0a6)
Tested on (OS): MacBook Pro - Tahoe 26.6.2
Notes:
Additional reproduction routes - any one of these also brings the locale back:
The revert is silent. No dialog, no Console message, no indication in the list that an entry was re-added. The user has no reason to re-check a list they already edited.
