Thank you for reporting a bug to Unity. We have reviewed the issue carefully, and in this case, the team is unable to prioritize fixing this bug. There are a number of reasons we make this decision, including the impact and severity of the issue across our user and customer base, and the possibility that future plans may solve the problem in a different way, or that a workaround for the bug may be available. Today we will be closing this case. Thank you again for taking the time to report this issue, and please let us know if there is anything else that changes the impact or severity of this issue.
Steps to reproduce:
Actual results: After the theme is switched to Light with the window already open, the tab icon keeps the Dark-theme variant. The light icon is barely distinguishable from the light grey tab background, while the tab's own label text "Localization Tables" switches to dark correctly, so one half of the tab adapts and the other does not. The "Preferences" window's gear tab icon in the same frame renders dark and fully legible, which is the behaviour expected here.
Closing and reopening the window corrects the icon. The Light-theme variant therefore exists and is applied at window creation, but a running window keeps the icon it was created with.
Expected results: The tab icon updates to the current Editor theme when the theme is changed, without the window needing to be closed and reopened.
Reproducible with versions: 1.5.13 (6000.6.0f1), 1.5.12 (6000.7.0a6)
Tested on (OS): MacBook Pro - Tahoe 26.6.2
Notes: Reopening the window is a working workaround, which is why this is filed at Severity 4 rather than higher
