Steps to reproduce:
- Open the Unity Hub and go to "Settings > Notifications"
- Uncheck "Enable notifications" and confirm both sub-checkboxes are greyed out
- Look at the "Show example desktop notification" button below them
- Press it
Actual results: A desktop notification appears, even though notifications are switched off. The button reports success, and the saved preferences still disable both notifications and desktop popups.
The same button does respect the mute setting. The notification is silent when "Mute desktop notification sounds" is on and plays a sound when it is off. So the button follows one setting on the panel and ignores the other.
The button is also not greyed out, unlike the two checkboxes above it. The attached screenshot shows both checkboxes greyed while the button keeps its full active styling.
Expected results: With "Enable notifications" unchecked, pressing the button produces no notification, and the button is disabled alongside the two sub-checkboxes.
Reproducible with version: 3.22.0-beta.1
Tested on (OS): MacBook Pro - Tahoe 26.6.2
