Crash on "projectionTreeBuildStep" when generating several meshes joined with Configurable Joints and projection enabled

Reproduction steps:
1. Open project “L-System.zip”
2. Open “MainScene”
3. Enter Play Mode
4. Press the “A” key about 10 times fast

Expected results: several meshes are generated
Actual result: Editor crashes

Reproducible with: 2021.3.30f1
Not reproducible with: 2022.3.11f1, 2023.1.16f1, 2023.2.0b13, 2023.3.0a9
Fixed in: 2021.3.31f1

Reproducible on: macOS Ventura 13.2.1 (Intel), Windows 10 (by the reporter)
Not reproducible on: no other environment tested

Notes:

• Not reproducible when disabling projection or using Hinge Joints
• Couldn’t test in Standalone Player due to compiler errors upon building
