How to reproduce:
Open the project "IN-68950_TMProBug"
Select DefaultIcons.asset in Assets → Resources
Expand and observe the Sprite Character Table
Expected result: Sprite icons match the name when initially opening the project
Actual result: Sprite icons don’t match the name when initially opening the project
Reproducible with: TMP 3.2.0-pre.8 (2021.3.35f1), TMP 4.0.0-pre.2 (2022.3.20f1), UGUI 2.0.0 (2023.2.11f1, 2023.3.0b8)
Could not test with: TMP 4.0.0-pre.2 (2021.3.35f1) package errors, UGUI 3.0.0-exp.3 (2023.2.11f1, 2023.3.0b8) script is missing
Reproducible on: Windows 11 Pro (23H2)
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
In 2021.3.35f1, 2023.2.11f1 and 2023.3.0b8 the Sprite icons don’t match the name either, but even after clicking the Update Sprite Asset button, it does not seem to fix matching.
In 2023.2 and 2023.3 streams the TextMeshPro package is no longer available as it was merged into the UGUI package
