Reproduction steps:
1. Create a new project
2. GameObject > UI Toolkit > Legacy > UI Document
3. Select newly created UIDocument GameObject and click “New” button in the Source Asset setting in the Inspector
4. Window > Analysis > Profiler
5. Enter Play mode to start profiling
6. Select UI Toolkit Module and click on PanelSettings Panel
7. Click “Show UI Toolkit related data” button and press the “Ping” button next to the UIDocument
8. Observe Hierarchy window
Actual result: UIDocument GameObject gets selected if it wasn’t selected before
Expected result: UIDocument GameObject gets selected if it wasn’t selected before and gets highlighted yellow
Reproducible with: 6000.6.0a4
Couldn’t reproduce with: 6000.0.74f1, 6000.3.14f1, 6000.4.5f1, 6000.5.0b6, 6000.6.0a3 (No UI Toolkit related data panel)

Not reproduced with: Windows 11
