- Enable Hierarchy v2
- Ensure "Rename new objects" is active
- Create a new scene
- Add a new game object.
- Delete the new game object either by undoing or directly deleting it.
- Make sure the selection is empty by clicking the empty area below all game object/nodes.
- Right-click the empty space and select "3D Object/Cube".
Actual results:
The new object's name is validated, another object's name's field enters "rename" mode.
