Unity: Metal
Fixed
2023.1.X
2022.2.X
2021.3.X
Won't Fix
2022.1.X
Canceling port as Unity 2022.1 is near its end of support.
Reproduction steps:
Open the attached project
Open the “/Assets/TestTextureArray.unity” Scene
Enter the Play Mode
Make sure that “Create Depth Only” and “Show Depth” are checked in the upper-left corner of the Game View
Observe the squares in the Game View
Expected result: All squares are red and their brightness decreases
Actual result: The first square is grey and all of the other ones are black
Reproducible with: 2021.3.10f1, 2022.1.17f1, 2022.2.0b8, 2023.1.0a11
Could not test with: 2020.3.39f1 (couldn’t downgrade due to missing required properties/features, thus the errors in the script)
Reproducible on: M1 MacOS 12.4 (21F79)
Not reproducible on: Windows 10 (21H2), Intel MacOS 12.4
Note: This issue is reproducible on Intel and Apple Silicon Editors on M1 Mac
