Thank you for reporting a bug to Unity. We have reviewed the issue carefully, and in this case, the team is unable to prioritize fixing this bug. There are a number of reasons we make this decision, including the impact and severity of the issue across our user and customer base, and the possibility that future plans may solve the problem in a different way, or that a workaround for the bug may be available. Note that this is fixed in 6.5 & 6.6. Workaround: Enable the Lock (icon top right) of the Animation Window before clicking Play in 6.4 and previous versions. Today we will be closing this case. Steps to reproduce:
Actual results: Animation window loses reference to the Main Camera. "No animatable object selected." is displayed in the center
Expected results: Animation window keeps the reference to the Main Camera, the timeline, and property sections are displayed correctly
Reproducible with versions: 2023.1.0a10, 6000.0.73f1, 6000.3.14f1, 6000.5.0b5, 6000.6.0a3
Tested on (OS): Windows 11 Pro (25H2)
