Error "NullReferenceException while resolving binding 'Test:<Mouse>/delta[Controller]" thrown when exiting Play Mode and using Player Input system with vector 2 component and Auto-Switch disabled in Player Input

How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached project “IN_16791.zip”
2. Open "SampleScene"
3. Enter Play Mode
4. Exit Play Mode
5. Observe the Console

Expected result: no errors in the Console
Actual result: errors in the Console

Reproducible with: 1.4.1, 1.4.2, 1.4.3 (2020.3.42f1, 2021.3.15f1, 2022.1.23f1, 2022.2.0f1, 2023.1.0a21)
Not reproducible with: 1.3.0, 1.4.4 (2020.3.42f1, 2021.3.15f1, 2022.1.23f1, 2022.2.0f1, 2023.1.0a21)

Reproducible on: Windows 10 Pro
