Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new Unity project using a 3D Universal Template
- Go to Assets > Create > Animation > Animator Controller
- Open the created animator controller
- In the Layers tab, select the "Base Layer"
- In the Inspector, rename it
- Observe the name in Layers tab changes
- Click "Ctrl+Z" to undo
- Observe the Layer tab again
Actual results: The Layer name in the Inspector and Animator breadcrumbs changes back after Undo, but the name shown in the Layers tab does not revert to the previous value
Expected results: The Layer name reverts to previous one in Layers tab consistently with all places
Reproducible with versions: 6000.4.5f1, 6000.5.0b6, 6000.6.0a4
Can’t test with versions: 6000.0.74f1, 6000.3.13f1 (due to [Internal link])
Tested on (OS): Ubuntu 24.04, macOS 26.4
