Project import freezes when opening project with over 100k assets

Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “IN-18975.zip” project

Expected result: The project opens
Actual result: Project importing gets stuck on “Initial Asset Database Refresh”

Reproducible with: 2020.3.40f1, 2021.3.12f1, 2022.1.20f1, 2022.2.0b12, 2023.1.0a15

Reproducible on: Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS
Not reproducible on: Windows 11 Pro 21H2

Note: Project opened on Windows 11 after importing for 40 minutes
