Creating Visual Effect GameObject throws an error

Cannot reproduce consistently

How to reproduce:
1. In a Hierarchy, right-click and select Visual Effects > Visual Effect
2. Observe errors thrown in the console

Reproducible with: 2023.2.0a15
Not reproducible with: 2023.2.0a13, 2023.1.0b11

Note: I suspect it to be the result of Templates PR merge
