Player freezes when loading a Scene on another thread

Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “BugRepro” project
2. Click File > Build and Run
3. In Player, click the gray transparent box with a number in the middle of it

Expected result: The number inside the box increments or the Player restarts constantly
Actual result: The Player is frozen and the value inside the box does not increment

Reproducible with: 2021.3.30f1, 2022.3.10f1, 2023.1.14f1, 2023.2.0b10, 2023.3.0a7
