Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new 3D UPR project
- Go to Window > Text > Font Asset Generator
- Dock the window anywhere (although usually not necessary to dock)
- In the Editor Toolbar go to Default > Default (to reset layout)
- Observe the Console and Hierarchy once reset
Actual results: "Unable to generate text. Failed to load font 'Inter' (style: 'Regular'). The font face could not be initialized." errors are spammed and GameObjects in Hierarchy have empty name fields
Expected results: No errors or visual artifacts
Reproducible with versions: 6000.5.0a8-6000.5.0b2 (Editor crashes after 4th step), 6000.5.0b3 (no more crashing, but errors remain), 6000.5.0b12, 6000.6.0a7
Not reproducible with versions: 6000.5.0a7
Tested on (OS): Windows 11, macOS 26.5
Notes:
- On Windows the errors also cause the Hierarchy to stop showing GameObject names and sometimes crashes when then resetting layout again, but on macOS no crashing or disappearing names are observed
- Reproduces with other Editor fonts too, not just with 'Inter'
- Hierarchy names disappear only if the Hierarchy v2 is used, with the old hierarchy only the errors are present
- Also reproduces with TMP Font Generator
