Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “IN-5945.zip“ project
2. Open the “SampleScene” scene
3. Reimport the “Meshes” folder
Expected result: No errors occur in the Console
Actual result: Some meshes fail to import, causing “[WorkerX] Blender could not convert the .blend file to FBX file” errors in the Console
Reproduced with: 2021.3.5f1, 2022.1.7f1, 2022.2.0a17
Couldn’t test with: 2020.3.36f1 (“Parallel Import” not found in Project Settings)
Reproduced on: Windows 11, macOS 12.0.1 (Intel)
Error:
[Worker0] Blender could not convert the .blend file to FBX file.
You need to use Blender 2.45-2.49 or 2.58 and later versions for direct Blender import to work.
Notes:
- Not reproducible when disabling “Parallel Import” (Project Settings > Editor > Parallel Import), reopening the project, and then reimporting the “Meshes” folder
- Reimporting files separately seems to work as intended
- Blender has to be installed in order to test
