Hierarchy V2 Crash on TextSelectionService::GetFirstCharacterIndexOnLine when using Cmd/Win+Delete in the Search field

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the attached project
2. Open the SampleScene
3. Enter something into the search field
4. Hold the CMD+Delete keys on macOS or Win+Backspace on Ubuntu

Actual results: Editor crashes

Expected results: Editor does not crash when attempting to delete a search query

Reproducible with versions: 6000.3.0a5(f9a1fab5607a), 6000.3.0a6

Not reproducible with versions: 6000.3.0a2, 6000.3.0a4

Can’t test with versions: 6000.0.56f1, 6000.1.16f1, 6000.2.1f1, 6000.3.0a1 (Hierarchy V2 not available)

Tested on (OS): Ubuntu 24.04, macOS 15.6.1

Notes:

• Does not occur when using the standalone Search Window
