Issue:
When opening the Profiler (Standalone Process) in an XR Core project, it holds a single console error on startup related to the XR Interaction Toolkit.
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at UnityEditor.XR.Interaction.Toolkit.Analytics.XRIAnalytics..cctor () [0x00000] in .\Library\PackageCache\com.unity.xr.interaction.toolkit@9b07900cb163\Editor\Analytics\XRIAnalytics.cs:32
UnityEditor.EditorAssemblies:ProcessInitializeOnLoadAttributes (System.Type[])
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new VR Core template project.
- Go to Window > Analysis > Profiler (Standalone Process)
Actual results:
When the standalone profiler loads in a separate window it has the XRI console error.
Expected results:
The standalone profiler should load without console errors in a VR Core default template project.
Reproducible with versions:
3.1.1 & 3.1.2
Not reproducible with versions:
Did not attempt for repro on versions older than 3.1.1.
Can’t test with versions:
Did not attempt for repro on versions older than 3.1.1.
Tested on (OS):
Windows 11
Notes:
- Tested only in trunk & new 6000.1.0f1 release - but this probably is package specific and is likely to occur in all supported editor versions,
- This is probably a regression, so I set that flag in the bug. This issue will potentially require a bisection team work item.
