Improvements for Multi-Display functionality with the Editor are being planned for future releases of Unity, but this issue will not be addressed at this time.
How to reproduce:
Set up three monitors, and in Windows Settings, change their location to:
Main one at the bottom
Two secondary monitors above the first one (split in the middle of the main monitor)
Make the two monitors slightly unbalanced, as if they were pushed to the right a little bit
Create and open a new project
Put it into a windowed mode
Move the Editor to the third monitor
Change the window layout in the Editor to ‘Default’, ‘Tall’, or any other
Observe the Editor
Expected result: Editor stays on the same screen
Actual result: Editor moves to the second screen
Reproducible in: 6000.2.8f1, 6000.3.0b6, 6000.4.0a2
Not reproducible in: 6000.0.60f1, 6000.2.7f1
Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro (24H2)
Not reproduced on: No other environment tested
Note: The computer must be set up with at least 3 monitors (for laptops, that would be 2 additional monitors)
